Salt & Sky Cottages – Rental Agreement & Cancellation Policy

This Rental Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into between the Guest (“You” or “Guest”) and Stay Twillingate (“Property Owner/Manager”, “We”, “Us”) upon the completion of a reservation through any booking method including, but not limited to, our website (www.staytwillingate.ca), Facebook, telephone, email, or third-party platforms such as VRBO, Booking.com, and Expedia.

By confirming your reservation, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Reservation & Payment

• Your reservation is considered confirmed upon successful payment and receipt of a booking confirmation.

• Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise specified in writing.

2. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Direct Bookings (Website, Facebook, Phone, Email)

• All sales are final. Reservations made directly through Stay Twillingate via www.staytwillingate.ca, Facebook, email, or by telephone are non-refundable, except as outlined below.

• A full refund or booking credit may be issued if the reservation is cancelled at least 7 days prior to the scheduled check-in date.

• Cancellations made within 7 days of check-in are non-refundable, and no credits will be provided.

• In special or extenuating circumstances (e.g., medical emergencies, severe weather, travel bans), management may issue a credit or refund at their sole discretion. Valid documentation may be required.

Third-Party Bookings (VRBO, Booking.com, etc.)

• Reservations made through third-party platforms are governed by the cancellation policies listed on those platforms.

• Guests are responsible for managing changes or cancellations directly through the respective booking channel.

• We cannot issue refunds or modify third-party reservations directly.

3. No-Shows & Early Departures

• Guests who do not arrive without prior notice (“no-shows”) will be charged in full.

• Early departures are treated as cancellations and are non-refundable.

4. Modifications

• Reservation changes (e.g., dates, number of guests) may be allowed based on availability.

• Requests must be made at least 7 days prior to check-in and may be subject to additional charges.

5. Occupancy & Use

• The property is to be used strictly for vacation purposes by registered guests only.

• No parties, events, or unauthorized guests are permitted without prior approval.

• Guests agree to treat the property with respect and leave it in good condition.

6. Liability & Damages

• Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the property during their stay.

• Stay Twillingate is not liable for lost or stolen items, accidents, injuries, or other incidents occurring on the premises.

7. Agreement Acknowledgement

By completing your reservation, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Rental Agreement and understand that:

• All direct bookings are non-refundable unless cancelled 7+ days in advance;

• Management may grant exceptions under special circumstances;

• Third-party bookings follow the cancellation policies of the platform used.
